While I’ve always been a fan of headscarves, I very rarely am seen with one on. I spend so much time fitting them around my head, strategically pulling strands of hair out so that it looks just right — and just when I am feeling confident enough to take my look out on the streets, I catch a glimpse of my reflection, yank the scarf off my head in frustration, and throw my hair up in a defeated ponytail.

But all that has changed now that I have not only learned how to wear a turban style scarf, but also mastered the art of tying one! When I looked up the how-to video, I was shocked at how simple the technique was and decided that I just had to share it with all of you!

Step One:

Roll scarf diagonally so to allow for the maximum length.

Step Two:

Tie scarf around your head, placing the knot in the front.

Step Three:

Tuck the ends of the knot underneath the scarf.

Step Four:

Untuck and pull scarf towards the middle of your head on either side.

And viola! You have quickly and fashionably covered up your dirty, greasy, bad hair day head with a great accessory!

I also made the super silly time lapse video below to further demonstrate how quickly you can become ultra chic 😉
